M!NE- Alastair Wheatley's StoryChapter: Prologue
The warm wind blew through the ancients. Their dark red leaf’s tumbling, as if crimson gore had once again taken them over. Their cries kept others away. The ground was only dirt; its dark grey surface was burnt, dry. The sky was dark purple, gloomier than anywhere else. It was as if the sky was frightened. The region stood marked forbidden. It was a churchyard fill of forgotten prisoners. Throbbing shrieks of both men and women entered the gust; it was the sound of newly composed souls. The troubling cries of them dying. In amongst the fearful cries was a young boy. Heat arose from him as did horror. Ashes floated around him up towards the sky. Bloodstain tears trailed down his cheeks leaving glossy marks. Blood was clear as glass. Heat surrounded the boy. The more tears that traveled the more the temperature rose. Light fenced the boy, caving him from all of his surroundings. His small knee’s fell into the grey dirt. In his burning hand

Planet Earth grew older and I too had also grown.
“My name is ehh. Anthony eh.. Owen sir” The man before me shook my hand.
“I suppose your-“
“Earth Sir” my statement was more of a question; the solider ignored my cringing glare. Instead the solider placed a large grey rock on the stoned table in front of me. Pointing to it he said “Show me what you can do”. I gave a painful sigh. A man nudged me from behind urging me to perform some spectacular Earth Miracle.
I was only passing through then this man behind demand that I was sort fit to join their army. Of course I did try to refuse. And here I am.
I picked up the stone gripping it tightly. I hid the palm of my hand with the rock. “Watch carefully” I gave a forced smile. Small puffs of smoke emerged from the stone as the palms of my hand caught alight. Suddenly the stone was melted into a liquid form. The men around stared at m

The men in my tent introduced themselves, Chris, Grant, Adam and Todd the youngest. I introduced myself as Anthony. When they asked what I could do I told them it was a secret that I will only preform if attacked. They came to the conclusion that I was powerless. Everything was a joke to them. It made me feel calm.
Woman was the hit topic of tonight. “So Anthony, you seem like you don’t have a girl back home” Grant had said. I gave a bit of a laugh. “Why’s that?” I appeared to have amused him because he was laughing at me. “You seem to be up tight, a woman would loosen you man” everyone was laughing and agreeing. “You’ll be surprised; I’m rather good with women” they looked like they weren’t sure if I was jesting or not. “If you are it’ll be because of your looks” another roar of laughter “For sure!” I laughed it off, slightly.

“M-Men!!!” the Commander looked frightened with each step he took back. “Men!” I heard the footsteps of those of outside. “Who are you, really?” I twisted the palm of my hands towards the Commander. “Alistair Wheatley…” I cocked my head sideways as if mocking him “…Sir”. I started to walk towards him, keeping my eye on the woman behind me. Her face slowly turned pink from humiliation.
Out of the tent the Commander continued to take steps backwards. Men stared astonished and scared as they surrounded me, ready for battle. The mob was large. I could only just see Todd, Grant and Chris. Todd watched horrified. As if he was seeing a monster. Detecting my gaze he tried hiding, now only his curly brunette hair could be seen.
The tent in which I exited was fully alight, I could hear panic.
As they reluctantly took steps closer I surrounded myself by a fiery orb, forcing t

Night time fell upon the earth where people stood. A cold wind blew from the outside sending chills through the soldiers who roamed the upper grounds. The air sent an aura of suspicion as a soldier ran into the camp puffing, gripping his gut as if his life depended on it. Clear blood ran from his mouth dripping off his chin each time his feet took new ground. When he arrived inside to talk to his commander he gasped for breath, grasping the Commander by the sides of his shoulders, doing so he collapsed.
Suddenly the concrete ceiling rammed open with a deadly screech that was deafening to the human ear. “Fire bearer you’re ours now.” I stood up feeling Todd’s touch; he was gripping my arm tightly. “Alastair” Todd whispered hoarsely “this isn’t part of the plan.”
